Sevens, Book 3: Pushed

Danny is at a Halloween party, but is still under the influence of the medications. Jeremy arrives at the party, and his ex-girlfriend, Tara, is there. He talks to Reed and Reed will let him stay with him for a while until things get better for Jeremy with his supposedly liberal but without-a-doubt anti-gay parents.

Peter does not go to the party, but he dreams of Meena and him walking together. Danny almost kisses a girl he likes, Cori, but he gets sick instead. Jane is with a group playing a concert at a retirement home but she's getting a headache and can't stop thinking about all the things she needs to get done.

Danny has a nightmare and it might relate to whatever happened years earlier. If it does, it involved a gun, possibly someone getting accidentally shot or killed.

Danny has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Danny tells Jane he hasn't done her music piece for her. Jane is heading towards a nervous breakdown. Danny stops taking his meds. Within a couple of days he's having trouble with his temper, but doesn't realize it.

Jane is under tremendous pressure from her divorced parents, her father wanting her to go to college, her mother wanting her to pursue her musical interests.

Danny's condition deteriorates. Peter and Meena begin to very, very slowly develop a friendship. Danny ends up pushing a teacher into the wall. He's suspended, with plans in the works for his expulsion.

He picks up his sisters and another girl from ballet school, but doesn't pay attention to his driving and gets in an accident, severely injuring one sister.

Another very dark book in a series of very dark books.
