Jumping to Conclusions

The students in the class are doing a Living History project where they will be asking relatives questions about family history. Elizabeth's parents are very busy and neither she nor Jessica seem to have a chance to ask them their questions.

Things turn bad when Jessica thinks their mother is starting to see a handsome man. Before long Elizabeth and Steven both believe her as the evidence seems to be strong. They try to work out some schemes that can get the guy to thinking that all three kids are out of control and their mother is not a good one.

They don't want their parents to break up, of course. The question is, are their parents breaking up, or is there a perfectly rational answer for what seems to be their mother falling for another man. A cute story.
