My First Trip to a Build-A-Bear Workshop, Saturday, June 15, 2002

 

Reading the Build-A-Bear Workshop  brochure at home, hoping to go soon A Teddy Assistant greets you at the entrance to help guide you through the process of creating your very own bear! Animal "skins": animals without stuffing (how they begin). There are stuffed versions of each along the wall, so you can see how they will look Where you can add a sound or song to your animal, if you would like Holding my teddy, waiting in line for his stuffing

Dressing your bear (mirrors provided for bears to see what they look like in various clothes) Martin, in tee-shirt and denim cutoffs! Next: a bank of computers, where you type in the info about you and your bear and get either a birth certificate or storybook (your choice) Packing up all our stuff at the checkout counter (where you also receive the birth certificate or storybook) Two "cub condos" (what the bears ride home in) and three "suitcases" full of clothes and accessories!

Enclosed in your "cub condo" (along with your newly-made stuffed animal and its birth certificate or storybook) are various flyers: the brochure (as above), a flyer on Build-A-Party, and the latest newsletter from BABW called Beary-Newsworthy. Also included is a sheet of stickers!
