Gifts from Special
Friend GrammyJ
2004
My father-in-law passed away on February 21,
2004.
GrammyJ sent me these things:
The following had an accompanying wonderful poem:
I go to a place where the grass is lush and
green
And the evergreen hedges grow high
I sit on a deck by a small wooden bridge
That leads to a dell nearby
The bridge passes over a quaint little stream
That babbles and gurgles all day
The sound of the water is peaceful and tranquil
It soothes all tensions away
The place where I go is a beautiful garden
With shrubs, flowers and trees
The hedges provide a sense of seclusion
I can relax and be at ease
The dell is another peaceful place
Made only for one or two
I go there when in need of quiet space
Yet have some company too
I'm rarely alone by the stream or the dell
My companion is there with me
She's nice and it makes me so very happy
That an Angel can be with me
The meditation eventually comes to an end
Also garden and friend from above
But while I'm still there I don't want to leave
Either friend or the garden I love
