2 down, 1 to go

An American propaganda film.

Italy and then Germany are defeated and there is rejoicing.

The one left.

Then the 'talking heads' portion gets going.

He explains we have been fighting a global war.

What would have happened if Germany had not been defeated. Then he explains why we attacked the Nazis first.

He explains that the supply lines between the United States and Japan were longer than the ones that would be involved in a European front war. He also notes that our planes could reach Germany but not (at that time) Japan.

Another reason for concentrating on Germany, he says, was that England and Russia were on the ropes and needed help right away. So we decided to hold in the Pacific and attack in Europe.

He says the Pacific American forces were holding back Japan long enough to give the American European forces long enough to defeat Germany and Italy.

We won the battle of Europe.

He says we have to exterminate Japanese military power.

Japan was willing to fight and keep on fighting.

He says Japan must be 'completely crushed.'

Then it's the 'rah-rah' moment of the film.
