The cover shows a flyer that has just managed to block up a Japanese carrier.

The Battle of Coral Sea where we see the pilot sinking a Japanese carrier.

The Panay was a boat that was sunk by the Japanese in China. Then there's a mention of Pearl Harbor which, to this very day, still arouses anti-Japanese feelings in some Americans.

The Japanese were often called 'monkeys' as in the drawing.
