Heroic #23

March, 1944.

Cover

Another patriotic page.

The Japanese think they have easily fooled the American pilot but they haven't.

The pilot comes up with an unusual way to destroy the Japanese ship.

'Snake-eyed sneaks' becomes yet another way to put down the Japanese. The 'sneaky' aspect arose from their attack on Pearl Harbor.

In this one the term 'exterminating business' shows another approach to the Japanese, regarding them as insects, specially cockroaches. Then there's another panel that again brings up Pearl Harbor.

The final panel makes fun of the way the Japanese talked.
