Heroic #26

Heroic #27

November, 1944

A group of soldiers storming a beach.

Another set of panels which pictures the Japanese as monkeys, one of the names they were called during the war, and presenting the view that the Japanese are really stupid.

The Japanese are attacking a ship which is blasting them from the skies.

More Japanese planes being knocked down while the ship seems to hardly be hit.

P-38s are now involved in shooting down the Japanese planes.

The boat gets another plane.

A rescue plane is being fired on by the Japanese. The real unfortunate thing is that this is based on various incidences during the war where Japanese forces targeted guys parachuting from the planes, rescue attempts, medical facilities, etc.

A patriotic drawing about what American air power was doing to Japanese planes which, actually, was pretty much true at the time. The Japanese had lost a good part of their best pilots and the ones flying presented less of a challenge to American pilots. Near the end of the war the Japanese were pretty much left with just kamikaze pilots.
