This second book in the Nancy Drew series. Helen Corning makes her appearance. Nancy and her father are almost run down by a car. Nancy is dating some guy named Dirk.
Nancy is checking out a house where some strange things have been going on, including odd noises, music, and small things being stolen. She suspects there is a secret entrance to the house.
There's a really nasty guy who wants to buy the house (something which seems to happen in various books of the series.) Mr. Drew ends up being kidnapped, and Nancy ends up finding the secret entrance she was looking for and a lot more.
A good addition to the series.
