This story involves Nancy, George and Bess going to a farm that is down on its luck. Some nasty guy is trying to buy it, and there's a strange cult that has rented a portion that includes a cave.
Nancy makes friends with a girl named Joanne (Millie in the original text) and all four girls become involved in an attempt to find out just what the cult is up to. There's also a strange Oriental woman and a bottle of perfume involved, and Nancy almost gets arrested for passing phoney money.
There's also a coded message Nancy manages to figure out, at least partially (in the original text she turns the entire thing over to Federal agents, not being able to figure it out herself.)
It's a good book.
