More BABW friends!
Miriam is named
after Miriam Stockley, the singer, best known for her
work
with Adiemus. My Miriam is a Pink Kisses Fur You bear. See?
She's just about
to throw one your way! Perhaps you may see her in her travels: on March
25,
2010 she decided to pull up stakes and head out in search of new
adventures!
This is Babette,
named after the Babette in the movie, "Babette's Feast"
(which you MUST see!). My Babette is going to be my fashion model gal,
I think. After all, white (fur) goes with everything! Her sister is Amélie
(named after the girl in the movie of the same name), who belongs to/
lives with my mother. | On March 25, 2010 I ascertained that Amélie
is
no longer living with my mother and that she may soon be on the move.
Upon hearing this, Babette decided to take her chances and head out
also. I hope they are able to meet up somewhere sometime soon!
It's wonderful Hello
Kitty! I never thought I would have a Hello Kitty
that I could dress up in different outfits and everything! Besides being
intensely cute and sweet and all, she is also very very soft and cuddly!
On March 25, 2010 Hello Kitty decided to seek new adventures along
with many of the other BABW people! I'm sure someone would love to
have her come live with them.
I don't know why I
didn't bring home any BABW people in 2007, but I did
bring home this adorable elephant named Einstein in March 2008! He is
the first
person I've brought to life to have sound! He makes an elephant
"trumpeting"
sound. He is also my first BABW person to come in under the new era: his
birth certificate contains information to allow him to enter the virtual
world
of Build-A-Bearville!
I am JoannaWarmHeart there, if you happen to join up!
I haven't been playing there much at all lately, though.
I ordered Pogo's
"skin" online from the BABW site, since he was not available in
the local store. Then I took him to the BABW store near us, where they
stuffed
him, and I helped bring him to life, adding his heart and all good
wishes. On
March 25, 2010, he too decided to go with many others to find new
experiences
in a new home.
This is Champ (A
Champion Fur Kids). He's a special bear. Part of his purchase
price goes to BABW's Hugs Foundation to support grants to children's
health &
wellness causes. He was inspired by Nikki Giampolo, a young girl who
bravely
fought cancer. She "shared her love by giving bears and their hugs to
all those
around her." These words mean a lot to me: "Give this teddy a squeeze
and it'll
give you the strength to be brave, the courage to face any challenge and
the heart
to live each day to the fullest." I created him with a special heart
inside him. When
you squeeze him, you can hear it beat--so soothing and comforting!
