PROPAGANDA/RACIST CARTOONS AND OTHER THINGS FROM WORLD WAR II

These are mostly propaganda cartoons that often carry a strong racist element in them. Almost all the Japanese were pictured as wearing thick glasses, being very short, and having absurdly large buck teeth. Interesting enough, the German soldiers were not so stereotyped.

Most of the cartoons will have Germans and Japanese as the propaganda target. Some will add the Italians, but only in the form of Mussolini, their leader. I have also found a couple racist cartoons with blacks as the target.

Private Snafu is a series of cartoons produced for soldiers instructing them on the right way to do things by showing a soldier that always did things wrong.
