Mini Moni

Originally it was a group whose songs were aimed very much at younger kids. They were funny and instructional at the same time. Then the group dynamics changed and they assumed different costumes and a different persona, no longer aimed at really young kids. They had the feel of a totally different, much more serious group and I think that hurt them.

The original group had Ai Kago, Nozomi Tsuji, Mika Todd and Mari Yaguchi. Yaguchi left and was replaced by Ai Takahashi.

Clothes commercial with Nakazawa Yuko

Even without speaking Japanese it's evident what happens. Nakazawa Yuko is looking for jeans and says her size to herself; a guy comes along and she lies, saying she's a smaller size, then she tries to get the jeans on, during which Mini Moni pokes their heads in.

One interesting thing to note is that, when Nakazawa Yuko is talking to herself, her voice is lower; when the guy talks to her she uses a higher pitch.
