Saturday, December 1, 2007, 2:16pm:
"Deck the halls with boughs of holly/Fa la la la laaa la la la la!" Woohoo, it's Yuletide! Well, it is to ME, now that it's December! My favourite time of year! There were snow flurries in Candlefd, my main Animal Crossing: Wild World town, this morning! I haven't been to my other town, Luisvill, yet.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Thursday, December 6, 2007, 1:22am: New stuff! I am still behind on getting gifts up that folks have given me; but here are the lovely pages I was given for my birthday from Wings of Love and Light.

And here are the beginnings of A Mouse House Christmas for this year! I also added a little bit to What Christmas Means To Me.

Tuesday, December 11, 2007, 8:07am:  I got Bunnicula to rejoin Toontown Online! Yay! We've been playing it a LOT the last few days! S/he really enjoys Chip and Dale's mini-golf course(s)! Last night s/he helped me get a major portion of a Toon Task done: defeat 25 Cog buildings so I can get a clothing ticket. I think we finished 17. I was running my second-highest character, Poppy Flippendorf, a tall slender bunny girl. B. was running hir second-level character, Queen Candy Fuzzybrains, also a tall slender bunny girl, but sort-of a blue colour. :-)  Poppy needs a red or green skirt to go with one of the holiday shirts she bought.

In other gaming news: I've been playing Animal Crossing everyday again! Here is what has been going on in LarkRise and Apple and in Candlefd and Luisvill.

Wednesday, December 12, 2007, 7:09pm: In amongst all the gaming and watching Christmas-y movies and programs, etc., I completed a Christmas-y shawl. Here it is. I hope to make one in red, but slightly different.

Saturday, December 15, 2007, 10:08am: snow snow snow snow SNOW! (from the song of the same name from "White Christmas") When I got up at 8am, it was dry out, with dark and cloudy skies. Around 8:45am it started snowing, fine at first, then fast and furious. We probably have an inch of snow on the ground now. Cat'r and Bunnicula were going to go to the grocery, but turned around after a few blocks because of skidding across our main thoroughfare, then encountering a totally slick side street. They decided to abort--we have plenty of food here. So we'll stay in and play board and card gamesHogfather and watch movies!

Ooooo, early Christmas present from Cat'r last night! He gave me the DVD movie, "Hogfather"! Yay! We're going to watch it this weekend, since it's the season for it! (the pic at right is the only one I could find on the 'Net of the version I have)

Happy Birthday, Watty!!

10:30am: I'm hearing that tapping on the windowpane now, as I sit here at the computer, the curtains drawn back so I can see the lovely landscape of falling snow. That tapping is sleet or little ice pellets or something other-than-snow. We're right on the 32*F. (freezing) mark now.

12:21pm: All rain now. We should eventually get some more snow overnight. But mostly rain this afternoon, the forecasts say. Wait, the radar is showing it to be a mix. I'm not out in it, so I can't see/feel sleet/freezing rain.

Monday, December 17, 2007, 11:26pm: The storm on Saturday fizzled. It rained all afternoon and evening and rained hard overnight. All the snow was washed away. In the morning we got some strong winds and light fine snow, just enough to make things look like they'd had a light dusting of confectioners' sugar. Oh well! I hope we get snow for Christmas!

I finished re-reading The Golden Compass a couple days ago. Tense, exciting, but I got distracted part way through by other things. That's why it took me so long. I don't know how they could've managed to do some things in the movie (or if things got changed a lot). I guess I'll just have to hope it turned out good. And I have NO idea what they would've done with the ending.......

I'm halfway through Hiroshima Dreams. Very good!

Wednesday, December 19, 2007, 10:25pm: Wow, Angel of Hummingbirds is piling on the gifts! It was just one gift a day to all of us; now it's TWO a day! So pretty! Go see!

And: toaster madness. Well, not exactly, but it sounds more exciting that way.  :-D   Read all about it in my LiveJournal [now CountryMouse's Refuge].

Thursday, December 27, 2007, 8:25pm: And for my next trick...Ill Wind

8:59pm: I finished reading Hiroshima Dreams before Christmas. Then I read Ill Wind (click on the pic at right to see it larger) by Rachel Caine. It's the first book in her Weather Warden series. Great stuff! Action, adventure, romance, sex (tastefully done), magick, and extreme weather! Yeah! I'm currently reading the second book, Heat Stroke, with more on the stack! I may take a short break after this one to read a knitting-related book or something. I don't want to get burnt out on this series like I have in the past with others, when I read too many books, one right after the other.

9:45pm: Having trouble uploading, so I don't know when you-all will see this. :-/

Saturday, December 29, 2007, 2:39pm: But first! I want to get this done quickly!

Sunday, December 30, 2007, 12:10am: Hooboy, I had this crazy notion I might be able to finish crocheting the Golden Trellis Shawl tonight. Not happening. And boy, my hand hurts. I hope I can finish it tomorrow (today/Sunday) before Cat'r gets here in the late afternoon.

Monday, December 31, 2007, 12:59am: (still Sunday to me) Holiday lights! Plus more on the Golden Trellis Shawl.

10:25pm: Happy New Year's Eve, folks in the USA and westward! Here is the Golden Trellis Shawl completed and being worn!
